Center for the Homeless Announces Dancers for Miracle Auction

The dancers in this year’s competition are hard at work in the DanceSport on the Plaza dance studio perfecting their routines in preparation for the April 24, 2009 event. They are: Katie Anthony, co-owner of Anthony Travel; Mike Charbonneau, spokesperson for NIPSCO; LaPhonso Ellis, color analyst for the University of Notre Dame’s men’s basketball and former NBA standout; Jacqueline Kronk, director of development and public relations for the Center; Steve Luecke, Mayor of South Bend; Pam Mullin, president of Junior League South Bend; Maribeth Roncz, loan originator at First Federal Savings; Diane Stover, vice president of marketing for Memorial Health System; Roberta Ziolkowski, philanthropist; as well as DJ Mike “Ragz” Ragozino from 95.3 WAOR.

Last year—the Center’s inaugural dancing event—raised more than $230,000. What’s phenomenal about this number is that $77,000 of it was from dancer votes! At $37 per vote, that equals 2,081 votes from the friends, family and co-workers of our very committed dancers.
